Stu Heiss is the Chief Legal Officer for M.S. Howells & Co. and MSH Capital Advisors LLC.

With over two decades of experience in the finance industry, Stu began his career as a commercial litigation and real estate attorney before moving into finance at the NYSE. He then worked as a trader at large bulge bracket banks, including J.P. Morgan Securities and UBS Prime Brokerage. Stu then pivoted as a trader to the hedge fund side of the business at RNK Capital, before moving to legal and compliance roles within the hedge fund space, including Balyasny Asset Management and Cinctive Capital. He has held senior roles, including Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Capstone Advisors as well as U.S. Chief Compliance Officer at Innocap, overseeing compliance for U.S.-registered entities and ensuring strict adherence to laws and regulations.

Stu graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, where he received a B.A. in Political Science, before receiving his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.
